The Educational and Cultural Center Broumov in cooperation with the Free University of Tbilisi, VA[A]DS School and Kunsthalle Tbilisi are opening a call for residency applications for musicians, composers, sound artists working in Gorgia focusing on sound art.
The residency includes:

accommodation with breakfast in the Guest House for 30 nights

study room in the Broumov Monastery

7 days of recording studio which is shared together with a Czech resident including technical service in the studio

fixed allowance for expenses in the amount of CZK 50,000 (brutto)
Part of the residency is also cooperation with local community, for example art school, voluntary children’s club, Children's Home, local musicians. The stay ends with an event for the public, e.g. concert, performance, sound walk. The residency also includes the recording of a podcast interview and a summary video about the residency.
Term of residence:
The residency stay will take place in the Broumov monastery for a period of one month from 1 to 31 October 2024.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

have completed studies

demonstrate a professional career of at least 5 years

have at least a basic knowledge of English

to be free from their professional obligations for the duration of the residency
Applications are sent by filling out this form. The closing date is July 19, 2024.
The results will be published no later than August 5, 2024 on the website www.klasterbroumov.cz.
The jury reserves the right to reject any project without giving reasons for its decision. The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
The residency is financed by the European Union, the National Recovery Plan, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Hradec Králove Region.
